SOLAHA Vol. V, No.7 Dr. Kim White Evolves to “Triathlete” and honored in SP Sports Walk With the Olympic Games now on on in Paris it’s perfect timing for story of Dr. Kim White who She recounts the story of how she progressed from 5K races to become full triathelon participant and recently honored and added to the San Pedro Sports Walk. “Kim” born in Los Angeles County Hospital and adopted at six weeks old and raised in “San Pedro Hill” and Rancho Palos Verdes (RPV). She attended elementary through high school in RPV, then Harbor College and Cal State Long Beach, and worked in television industry in post production.
She has been competing in triathlons for over two decades, completing 148 Triathlons including an “Ironman”. She also competes in marathons, 10k’s & 5ks races, cycling tours. Shes been an ‘officer with the Cabrillo Beach Polar Bears for the last 21 years first as Vice President with Ray Falk and then as President for over 15 years. With her guidance, the club has had up to 875 people join them in their New Year’s Day swim. She still swims on most days ending in the letter “Y”. When she started competing in triathlons, she decided to become a coach. From there, she became a personal trainer and started studying the body in order to affect change. She received her Masters Degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Long Beach in 2007 and became a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner and a Life Coach.
She decided to use the recent “pandemic” to further her education and earned her Ph.D. and Doctorate in Natural Medicine in 2022, from Quantum University. She has run her own business for over 20 years, being a triathlon coach, swim coach, running coach, cycling coach, personal trainer, and life coach.
She is currently the first female Exalted Leader of SP Elks Lodge. More stories about that experience to be revealed. Be ready to run, cycle and swim after hearing her inspiring story!
