Vol. II, No. 30 John Bagakis recalls his campaign for San Pedro Honorary Mayor and respect for fundraising
In John Bagakis, general manager of Big Nick’s Pizza, talks about his successful run for San Pedro Honorary Mayor in 2015. The “fundraising contest” is sponsored by San Pedro Chamber of Commerce (SPCC) with proceeds going to the SPCC and worthy organizations that serve the community which each candidate designates.
For his campaign he chose: Legends Car Club, Encore Theatre Group and Pedro Pet Pals. His campaign raised @$40K+ and he won the race, that lead to his continuing involvement with the SPCC. He served as Honorary Mayor from 2015-17. He currently serves as Harbor Area Planning Commissioner. Esteemed for his enthusiastic support for San Pedro. His Greek and Italian heritage add to his robust personality, generous and caring spirit.
John is great example for business owners, youth and the populace to participate and make a difference in the community and beyond.
