Vol. II, No. 24 John Bagakis remembers his start at Big Nick’s Pizza
Good call by co-producer/director Jack Baric to commemorate the “re-start of pro football and NFL season, and feature John Bagakis general manager of one of San Pedro’s favorite restaurants for pizza delivery for big games.

John recalls how he got his start at the restaurant as a delivery driver and a story about the time the restaurant was called on to provide pizzas to 2,000 hungry cruise ship passengers that were docked at the Port of Los Angeles.

A former honorary mayor of San Pedro, John currently serves as Harbor Area Planning Commissioner; and is well known for his generous caring manner and enthusiastic support for San Pedro.

We are grateful for the on-going support for SOLAHA by Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn, District 4 authorizing grant funding from LAC.

We also commend our generous website sponsors: Renaissance Group (Erik Eisenberg), Clean San Pedro (Steve Kleinjan), George Van Buren & Associates (accounting services), Jim Hussey (State Farm Insurance), ILWU Local 94, and Los Angeles City Council District 15, and new sponsor the eminent sports photographer Peter Read Miller (see peterreadmiller.com)
